This is a product used by school students, so the short version matters more than the long one: we collect what the tutor needs to answer you, and we do not sell any of it.
What we collect
The account details you give us when you register: your name, email address, and the class and section you are studying in. We use the class to pitch answers at the right level.
What you do in the app: the questions you ask the tutor, the quizzes and exams you take, your marks, and the projects you start. This is what makes progress tracking and personalised recommendations work.
Screen sharing and photos
Point & Ask captures the screen or photo you choose to share, sends it to the tutor to answer the question, and stores it with that conversation so you can look back at it. Sharing stops the moment you end it, and nothing is captured before you start it or after you stop.
Voice
A voice conversation is streamed to the model that answers it while the call is live. A transcript is kept with your history so you can read back what was said.
Proctored exams
An exam can be set to proctored, which records the tab and camera for the length of the paper so the result counts as a real attempt. You are told before it starts, and an unproctored practice attempt is always available instead.
What we never do
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it to advertise to you. There is no public feed and no messaging between users, so nothing you write in the app is visible to another student.
Your choices
You can delete a conversation from your history at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by writing to simplylearn49@gmail.com.
